Alice June Rogers
September 23, 1938 – December 22, 2024
Alice June Rogers (86), affectionately known as June and June Bug, passed away peacefully on December 22, surrounded by her family. The family held a graveside service on December 28th at Heritage Funeral Home where she was laid to rest with her husband.
June was preceded in death by the love of her life, Robert (Bob) E. Rogers, Sr. She is survived by her four children, Richard Rogers and Karen Eddy of Spokane, Julie Leingang of Bellevue, and Robert E. Rogers, Jr., of Stanwood, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
June was born in Muncie, Indiana and ultimately found her soulmate, Bob. He was in the Air Force and they lived in Germany for four years until moving to Nine Mile Falls in 1979. June held a fruitful career and retired in the late 90’s from Sacred Heart Hospitals’ dietary department. She was a God-fearing woman and volunteered at her church, Our Lady of the Lake. She loved being part of the Red Hats with her girlfriends and was an excellent artist who painted portraits and scenery. June also enjoyed scrapbooking and had a designated craft room where she put her talents to work.
June’s family fondly remembers her favorite sayings such as, “Everything’s just peachy, I’m going to get two 20’s, You know where to find me, and I’m still looking for my ducks.” Her family and friends are comforted to know that she and Bob are finally slow dancing together again. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Our Lady of the Lake in June and Bob's name.
