Bruce W Dietz Obituary Bruce W. Dietz was called home on March 2, 2020 to join his parents, James R. and Mildred P. "Milly" Dietz. Born on March 27, 1946 in Tacoma, WA. A family of boys, Bruce is survived by his brothers, Thomas (Willa), Richard (Sherrill), and Nick (Karyn). He grew up in Colville where his father owned and operated Colville Valley Concrete Company. He graduated in 1964 from Colville Senior High. He enjoyed history, civics, and government. In 1965 he went to WSU for a year and went on to SFCC where he obtained two AA's, then EWU with a BA in history and a minor in government. In 1980 he met Elvira Melendez and her two daughters. Bruce and Elvira were married for 22 years. Bruce was devoted to the Lord and the Episcopal Church. Bruce was the type of person who could talk to anyone. He enjoyed all sports, history, reading and music. Bruce is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his three brothers, daughters, Clara Curtis and her children, Charlie and Audrey and Sadie (Matthew) Gosselin; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. A memorial service will be held Friday, March 26th at 11:00 AM at Heritage Funeral Home, 508 N. Government Way, Spokane.
