Carlea Winsley - Lewis Obituary Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully Friday, Feb 26, 2024. in Spokane, Washington. Carlea was the youngest child of William Cleveland "Bill" Lewis and Georgia Ellen Harris Siekawitch. She was born and raised in Yakima, Washington. Her parents built and were the proprietors of The Lewisville Tavern when she was young. She attended Yakima High School and met and married her first husband, Aaron Leroy "Roy" Hammond, in Yakima. In 1954, They moved to the Seattle area where the young couple welcomed a daughter and a son. Carlea met her second husband, Richard Wayne "Dick" Winsley, in Moses Lake, Washington. They were married in 1962 and two stepdaughters and a stepson, were welcomed into her family and the couple also had three additional sons. They lived in Europe for several years, eventually settling in Tacoma, \Washington where she spent the next 37 years raising and caring for her family and making many dear friends. She briefly lived in Shelton, Washington before moving in 2012 to Spokane to live with her daughter, Kathy and her family where she spent the last years of her life. Carlea had an amazing life, above all she loved spending time with her family and friends. She was an avid reader and was known for being loving and kind and always having a beautiful smile. She left a lasting impact on all who knew her. Her unconditional love and generosity will be remembered, always. She is preceded in death by her parents, two former husbands, brothers Lany Lewis and Darrel Lewis, daughter Katherine Holman, son-in-law Robert Holman and grandson, Skyler Hammond. She is survived by her brother Michael Miller, sons Shawn (Sandra) Hammond, Robin (Peggy) Winsley, Ron Winsley and Bill Winsley, Stepchildren Suzanne (Micheal) Bracher, Karen (Ab) Abercrombie and David (Stephanie) Howard and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. � To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Carlea, please visit our floral store.
