Carol Kay Recor Obituary Carol Kay Recor (81) passed away on the morning of October 11th, 2022. Born to Grace and Clarence Austin on June 3rd, 1941, in Bremerton, WA, she spent most of her life in Spokane, WA, where she graduated from West Valley High School in 1959. She married Gordon Recor in 1989, and together they lived in the Garland District, enjoying the local businesses including the Milk Bottle and Garland Theatre. Carol took pride in her career at Krueger Sheet Metal before retiring in 1998. Carol was very passionate about her family and her friendships. She loved playing Canasta and Monopoly, attending Broadway shows, traveling, gardening, rooting for the Mariners, and spending time with her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. She was strong in her faith and believed in environmental conservation, women�s rights, and leaving the world a better place for future generations. Carol is survived by her husband of 33 years, Gordon Recor; her brother, Tom Austin (Ruth); her nieces, Cheryl Austin, Laurie Frost, and Teresa Dringle; her children, Doug Bundy (Kelly), Cathy Hand (Paul), and Mike Recor; her grandchildren, Michelle Churner, Krystal Recor-Cruz, Simone Ott, Justine Recor, Kiefer Larsen, Clancy Bundy, Darby Bundy, and Riley Van Bebber; her six great-grandchildren, and a beloved community of neighbors and friends. A service will be held at the Riverside Memorial Park at Heritage Funeral Home, 508 N Government Way, Spokane, WA 99224, on November 20th at 10:30am.
