Carolyn Sue Holmes Obituary (Age 84) Carolyn passed away December 18, 2018 at home in Spokane, WA. She was born in Goodland, Kansas on November 18, 1934 to Tim and Edythe Sherrod. She graduated high school in 1952 in Goodland, Kansas and went on to complete her nursing degree in Phoenix, Arizona, and in 1955 married Bill Holmes. Carolyn served as a registered nurse and most of her career was spent as an emergency room nurse in McHenry, Illinois. She was an active member of the local Lioness Club and also helped with the Local Lions club. Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Holmes; her parents, Tim and Edythe Sherrod; and her daughter, Jacqueline Carithers. She is survived by her children, Vickie Stephens (Wilber, WA), Greg Holmes and Julie Hill (Spokane, WA); her sister, Sally Sparks (Abilene, TX); 7 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren with one more on the way.
