Catherine May Jackson (age) 75 , of (city) Otis Orchards , WA and passed away on , June 18, 2024 while at home under the loving care of family.

Catherine May Jackson was born on November 10, 1948 in Otis Orchards, WA to Robert J Swannack Sr. and Jean Lorraine Swannack. Cathy attended Otis Orchards and East Valley High School in the Valley, graduating from Spokane Community College with an associate’s degree in Medical Administration. She was employed with Valley General Hospital in the Spokane Valley and later during the family’s relocation to Yakima, WA and Lincoln, NE, she and dad (Gary E Jackson- Husband) operated several different Antique stores.

Cathy married Gary Edwin Jackson on November 10, 1965 and they had two children Donald R (Melissa) Jackson and Deann J (Brad) Yoerger. She had an extraordinary ability to make family and friends FEEL loved and valued, made immediate friends with those that she encountered, loved going to or watching baseball games with her baseball buddy (Marlene Degeest), rooting for her favorite player (Edgar) and is still waiting for her favorite team to make a world series appearance (Seattle Mariners). She was deeply involved with the USO Care Package program for troops serving overseas and was intensely involved in the Newman Lake Grange. She loved making all kinds of sweets (cookies and brownies) adventures to find the next Huckleberry Patch and was BANNED from making cheesecake.

Cathy enjoyed resurrecting fine treasures (aka junk) with her family and friends, and will always be remembered for her words each time you left the house “Watch out for Deers”. She loved planting flowers and watching the humming birds gather around the porch. Sitting out on the deck waiting for the sun to rise and the sun to set- she loved being out with nature and the wonders of life.
