Charles Lynn Baker Obituary Charles Lynn Baker, born in Hagerstown, MD, passed away on January 24, 2021 at the age of 67. Charles Lynn was born to Hazel Mae and Thurman Charles �Bud� Baker on December 08, 1953. Charlie is survived by his mother Hazel Mae Baker; his wife Sandra Baker; his children Jason (Robin) Baker, Mindy (Maurice) Baker/Wright, and stepdaughter Rachel Brasch; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; his brothers and sisters, Randy Baker, Larry Baker, Teresa (Frank) Munoz, and Kim Baker; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Charles Lynn was preceded in death by his father, Thurman Charles �Bud� Baker and sister in law Robin Baker. Charles proudly served his county in the Air Force as a Staff Sargent. He enlisted at the age of 17 and was stationed in Spokane WA, where he remained after his military retirement in 1979. During his service in the USAF, he was trained to be a Heating Technician. He continued to work as an HVAC Specialist throughout his career. He was employed by Burlington Northern Railroad, several State Agencies and finally retired from Central Valley School District in 2017. Charles Lynn loved his family above all else. He was known to his family back east as Lynn. Lynn made a point to call his family in Maryland every week in order to stay in touch. He was very proud of his children and grandchildren and loved to tell everyone all about them. Charlie was joined in marriage to his second wife, Sandra Brasch in 1998, and at that time, some of his closest friends, also became his family. Charlie touched the lives of the people he met. He made friends easily and tended to keep his friends for life. Charlie and Sandy purchased their current home in 2007 and fulfilled his dream of owning acreage. Charlie loved being able to look out his window at the grazing deer and other wildlife. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, target shooting, and he even pressed his own bullets. His hobbies included coins, making his own distilled spirits, and going to car shows and swap meets. Charlie loved antique cars and enjoyed owning his 1935 Plymouth 2-door coupe. Charles Lynn will be laid to rest with his family in Hagerstown, Maryland. A celebration of Charlie�s life will be held at their home at an undetermined later date.
