Cheryl Hudnall Obituary Cheryl Hudnall 73, of Spokane, WA passed away on January 05, 2023. Cheryl Hudnall was born on June 21, 1949 in Omak, WA, to Norman and Helen Hudnall. She graduated from Eastern Washington University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a Minor in Criminal Justice. While in school, she was initiated a member of the Alpha Kappa Delta International Sociology Honor Society, Gamma Chapter of Washington, at Eastern Washington University. Cheryl married Edward Taylor Burts in 1967 and the couple had 3 daughters together before later divorcing. She never remarried, although she did have other long-term relationships that were very meaningful to her life. Taking care of children and other family members and close friends was very important to Cheryl. She spent many years babysitting as her source of income, and helping to take care of and raise both her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed playing pool and bowling both recreationally and competitively and won many trophies for her skills in these sports. She also enjoyed playing card games. Her favorite animal was the owl and she loved grandfather clocks. She spent most of her life living in Washington, but also lived for a time in Oregon and in California. Spokane was her favorite place to be and where she called home. Cheryl is survived by her mother, Helen Hudnall; sister Karen (Mike) Helgerson; brother, Randy (Sheila) Hudnall; daughters Michelle (Claudio) Tapec and Melissa (Stephen) Foster; grandchildren Amanda Baird; Ashley Sharr; Anthony Burleson; Joshua Wills; Jules Wills; Hayden (Vincent) Parker; Thomas Woods; Angelina Tapec; and Brandon Tapec; along with numerous great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father, Norman Willis Hudnall; her daughter, Julie Anne Burts; and her grandson, Timothy Fallon Wills. Viewing is scheduled from 9:00-10:00 am on January 13, 2023, at Heritage Funeral Home, 508 N Government Way, Spokane, WA 99224. Graveside service is scheduled at 10:30 am at Greenwood Memorial Terrace, where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved daughter, Julie (across the street from Heritage). All are welcome to attend and celebrate Cheryl�s life. The family would like to thank LaVonne Trask for all of the help and care she provided to Chery over the last few years as she battled her illnesses and for handling the settling of her final affairs.
