Christian Eldon Swenson Obituary Christian Eldon Swenson, 35, died tragically and unexpectedly on July 30th, 2020. He and his fianc, Jenna Neuman, had moved to Water Island in the US Virgin Islands around the first of July. They lived in a villa at Coconut Grove off Honeymoon Bay. His brother/friend, Steve Furno, and Jenna were with him when he passed away. Christian was born on August 2nd, 1984, in Spokane, Washington, to parents Amie Swenson and Laurance (Larry) Swenson. He lived in Spokane until he was 6 years old then they moved to Coeur d Alene, Idaho. Chris went to Borah Elementary, Canfield Middle School and Coeur d Alene High School. He graduated in 2002. Chris is survived by his Mother, Amie Swenson, Step-father, Bill Keenan, sister Jana Swenson and her husband Kad Poosri, Stepsisters Amy & Sarah Keenan, Stepbrother Jason Keenan, Aunt Sue Phipps, Uncle Don Phipps, Aunt & Uncle Jan & Don Nelson, Cousins Jennifer Blair, Kelsey Phipps, Kathi & Jerry Hoyt, Sammi Becker, Steven Becker, kristina hernandez, Rick & Curt Becker, Craig Nelson, Mark Nelson, nephews Gabe Swenson, Qynntel Poosri, Nieces Kailee Swenson-poosri, Aylea Swenson-Poosri, and his first great-niece Memorie Swenson and his beloved fiance Jenna Neuman. Other extended family members, the Keenans, the Canadys, the Lowerisons, the Bentleys, the Brandons, the Bauers, the Thompsons, the Wings, the Wrights, his Coeur d Alene family, and his Breckenridge family. We are probably forgetting someone, but please know that Chris would never forget you. Chris had an adventurous soul and loved to travel! After High School, he initially moved to Arizona. This was just his stepping stone to all the places he traveled to, lived and worked at, which included, Alaska, Mexico, Brazil, Costa Rica and Bali! The two places he loved the most were Coeur d Alene and Breckenridge! He so loved to camp, hike and snowboard! He loved to fish with his Dad, Larry. Although we never saw him eat any of those fish, only Sushi, they loved it together. He also loved adding to his rock collection, adding rocks from everywhere he went. The outdoors, whether it was an ocean beach or the mountains of Idaho & Colorado were his idea of heaven. Whether it was jumping off Tubbs Hill, rafting on the North Fork of the CDA River, or scuba diving in Costa Rica, or hiking and snowboarding in the Colorado Mountains, he loved it all, along with his friends and family all around the world!! He loved you all dearly. There was no-one else who could do a rib-crushing hug like Chris. He was always there with a smile, a laugh, a sympathetic ear, a great cocktail, or a yummy gourmet dinner! (He learned a lot from all of you chefs!) He mostly worked as a bartender extraordinaire, but also worked as a Sales Agent for Welk Enterprises. Even though he never done that type of work before, he excelled at it and was their second top Salesperson in 2019! Most of all we will remember his unconditional love, his quick wit, & his beautiful smile! We love and miss him so much! A Celebration of Christians life will be planned for sometime in September.
