Dolores Frances Wood, age 85, of Spokane, Washington, passed away on November 11, 2024. Dolores was born on January 13, 1939 in Spokane, Washington to Cecil and Frances (Harley) Peck, attending school in Spokane and graduated from Lewis and Clark High School in 1958.
Dolores worked for several organizations and held several positions, including working as an underwriter at New Hampshire Insurance, the office manager of Riverside Middle School, and as one of the secretaries of Turning Point Open Bible. Dolores married Christopher “Ted” Wood in 1978.
Dolores enjoyed many hobbies, in addition to regularly attending church, she had a love for all outdoor activities, including walks and hikes with her friends and her husband, Ted. Her newest activity was line dancing, which brough hours of joy. Her family and friends will always remember her as a little ball of energy, as well as a kind and loving person.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Frances. Dolores is survived by her husband, Ted Wood; her sister in law, Bessie Brown; and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews who will all miss her dearly.
The funeral service is scheduled for 11am on November 25, 2024 at Turning Point Open Bible Church, followed by a 2pm graveside service at Riverside Memorial Park. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Dolores’ life.
