Don Stolicker Obituary It is with great sadness that the family of Donald William Stolicker announces his passing from this life. Don passed very peacefully on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at the age of 69, and was surrounded by unconditional love. Don was born in 1953 in Sayre, PA. He was retired from the US Air Force where he served his country honorably in logistics for most of his service, but he was most proud of his time as a recruiter. He was highly decorated and awarded for his recruiting efforts because he believed in the Air Force and loved starting young people on an adventurous career. Don devoted a great many years of love to his predeceased partner, Greg Johnson. They had countless memories in their Spokane Valley home and at Lake Coeur dAlene in Idaho, memories which Don cherished to his final day. Don also acted lovingly as Gregs caregiver for over a decade when Greg fell ill. Watching Dons care and love and compassion for Greg was awe-inspiring. Don is predeceased also by his mother Betty, his father Dan, and his sister Beverly. Don is survived by three sisters, Terry Minwell, Barbara Nale, and Marie Besecker, and his brother Frank Stolicker, along with many nieces and nephews. Don also leaves behind his beloved chosen family in WA - Sherron Brewer, Debbie Gilbert, Angie Morales, and Sherridan Morales; Gregs brother David Johnson, Gregs sister Cathy Dykman and her daughter Brittney Dykman. Lastly, Don is survived also by his second partner, Wolf Cowart and their dog Thunder. Dons passing leaves a hole in the hearts of all his family as well as his friends, and many Air Force service members, colleagues and recruits alike, who kept in close contact with Don after he retired. Don will forever be remembered as someone who lived life to the fullest with love and compassion. He was fun-loving, quirky, and never too serious. His jokes and pranks will always be remembered with a smile. He loved the water, spending time with loved ones, and watching and feeding squirrels in his backyard. Don had an instinct for what to do or say to make someones day better and sought opportunities to brighten the lives of others. His faith was strong and we all know he is very happy right now and forever.
