Eunice Lynn Sproul Obituary Eunice Lynn (Brandt) Sproul was born Nov. 26, 1929, to Milton and Charlotte Brandt in Spokane, WA. She graduated from Rogers HS in 1947 and from Washington State College in 1952 with a nursing degree. Eunice graduated from St. Luke�s School of Nursing in 1952 as co-valedictorian. Professionally, she was asst. director of nursing for an 80-bed nursing home as well as clinical instructor of surgical nursing at St. Luke�s School of Nursing. For many years she was a charge nurse at St. Luke�s Emergency Dept., later serving as Nurse Manager in St. Luke�s short-stay surgical unit. She completed her career teaching clinical skills at Spokane Community College. Eunice was very active in the Emergency Department Nurses Assoc. (EDNA). She was a lead planner in disaster response for St. Luke�s, implementing a series of hospital-wide disaster drills. Eunice also served as Disaster Chairperson for Emergency Medical Services for Spokane City/County. She was a lead planner/coordinator in three complex city/county wide drills involving police and fire depts. Eunice lived in northwest Spokane throughout her adult life. In 2009 she moved to Moran Vista Senior Living. She was an engaged and vibrant member of the community, serving on various committees. She was awarded Volunteer of the Year at Moran Vista in 2011. She was a member of Audubon Park United Methodist Church for many years. She joined Hamblin Park Presbyterian Church when she moved to Moran Vista. Eunice married Joe Sproul in 1953. They divorced in 1984. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Duane Brandt, and sister Noreen (Brandt) Price. She is survived by her sister Merna McGehee, daughters Diane Zemke (Steven) and Julie Babineau (Jay), her grandchildren Spencer Babineau, Weston Babineau, Anna Zemke, Nathaniel Zemke, David Zemke, Jonathan Zemke, and Bethany Downs, 12 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. � To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Eunice, please visit our Tree Store
