Jeffery Bryan Wood passed away on September 25th, 2024, after a 13-month long battle with brain cancer.
Born in Seattle on December 10th, 1964, to Les and Marilyn Wood, he spent his younger years traveling internationally and enjoying every minute of it. He loved where the family lived and the adventures they took. The family settled back in Spokane in time to start and graduate from University High School; he continued on to college and moved into restaurant management. Then he worked on the crab boats up in Alaska. He decided to become a Licensed Appraiser and opened Quality Appraisals.
When real estate took a turn, Jeff made the decision to open Marlé Worm Growers to help make a difference for his community.
Jeff is survived by his wife Amy, daughter Kelsi, and son Zac; by his father Les Wood (Cristina); sister Kimberly Morse-Julian (Rod); brother Dr Chris Wood (Dr Tara); and brother Jon Wood (Valerie), as well as many nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother Marilyn Wood; nephew Tyler Morse; grandson Kai Alexander Wood; and grandparents.
Jeff loved life. He was a passionate person about anything that caught his attention, he'd give it his all. His family was first, always; he loved his wife, daughter and son deeply, his family and friends, camping, building new things, working on cars, and going on adventures. Jeff was passionate about his business, being able to help people grow healthy organic food and providing all organic materials. He enjoyed meeting new people and the conversations they had. Customers were treated like family. Jeff will always be remembered as a person who had your back with a smile and a good laugh. He will be missed not only by those he knew as family and friends, but any and all who met him.
Please join us in celebrating Jeff's life at 1:00 pm on Friday, October 11, 2024, at Heritage Funeral & Cremation, 508 N Government Way, Spokane WA 99224.
