July 04, 1936 - January 01, 2019

John Stanley Wynhoff Obituary John Stanley Wynhoff of Spokane, Washington, was welcomed into Heaven and the waiting arms of his wife, Ella and his son, Raymond on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 surrounded by his family and close friends. John was born July 4, 1936, in Wilbur Washington, the son of the late Walter Seth Wynhoff and Ethel (Garris) Wynhoff Copenhaver. Left to cherish his memory are his children Barbara Wynhoff, Shirley Hart, Robert Wynhoff and Terri Miller (Willie); grandchildren Amber Pen, Whitney Pen, Anthony Swim, Joseph Miller, Taylor Hart, and Kelsey Miller; several great-grandchildren, and his brother, William Wynhoff. He will also be greatly missed by his sisters-in-law Marie Shumate, Judi Peiffer, Patsy Floyd and brother-in-law Bruce Floyd as well as his adopted children Duane Pen, Thomas Tate, and Toni Trujillo and lifetime friend Walt Merwin. John was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him. He served proudly in the U.S. Navy and was presented a Certificate of Appreciation only days before his death. After a lifetime in the tire business, he retired in 2001. John was happiest fishing, cutting wood, grilling cheeseburgers, and was always so proud to share his canned goods. He will forever be known for his beautiful gladiolus and giving away the treasures from his garden and what have ya. The family would like to say a special thank you to Horizon Hospice and Visiting Angels for the loving care and support they provided to John and the family. Funeral services will be held at Heritage Funeral Home, 508 N Government Way, Spokane, WA at 10:30 am on Friday January 11th, 2019 followed by a reception at The Eagles, 6410 N Lidgerwood St, Spokane, WA 99208 at 1:00 pm.
