Lauren "Sting" Stingley

Lauren "Sting" Stingley Obituary (Age 52) Passed away on March 18, 2018. Lauren was born on November 3, 1965 in Dickinson, North Dakota to Leon and Ardella Stingley. After graduating from Glasgow High School (Montana) in 1985, Lauren enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served his country for 20 years before retiring in 2005. During his time in the Air Force Lauren served in Nevada, Washington, Delaware, Guam, Korea and the Middle East. While serving at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nevada he met the love of his life Sharon Crigger, and in 1987 a marriage that lasted 30 wonderful years began. Lauren was an avid lover of the outdoors who enjoyed spending his weekends on his boat fishing on Lake Roosevelt. He thoroughly enjoyed playing basketball, winning Hoopfest 10 times and recently picked up country swing dancing. Lauren thought of others and was always more than willing to help out others in their time of need, often when they didnt ask. He was caring, selfless, kind and a true joy to be around. Lauren was preceded in death by his parents Leon and Ardella. He is survived by his wife Sharon Stingley; his children Jason Crigger and Jadon Stingley; his daughter-in-law Nicole Crigger; his brothers and sisters Jeff Stingley, Joy Detienne, Lisa Wiltfong, Kyle Stingley, Mike Stingley and Robert Stingley; as well as numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends and colleagues. Visitation will be held at Heritage Funeral Home in Spokane on Wednesday, March 21st from 10am-5pm. Funeral Service will be at Heritage on Thursday at 1pm, with interment to follow at Washington State Veterans Cemetery in Medical Lake.
