Leanne Alden-Merkel Obituary LeAnn Alden Merkel was born September 22, 1953, to Gladys and John Alden in Spokane, WA. On April 26, 2022, LeAnn passed from a sudden aneurysm. She leaves behind her devastated family and friends. Her loving Husband Bob Merkel, Son Ryan Hodge (Piper and Elleot Alden), Daughter Alesha Hodge (Ashlyn and Aidan Tidwell), Stepson John Morrison (Eliza and Annmarie) Granddaughter Jayden Soto, Siblings Dan Alden, and Jodi (Ken) Brown. She was preceded in death by her parents Gladys and John, Daughter Nicole Bourg, and Granddaughter Kylee Knutson. LeAnn worked as a medical office manager for many years after graduating with her A.A. From Spokane Community College as a Medical office Specialist. She enjoyed an early retirement where she focused on her grandchildren and family. LeAnn loved her family and put her children and grandchildren first in all ways. She was an amazing mother and grandmother. LeAnn enjoyed Gardening, decorating, and organizing everything she could. As she aged LeAnn volunteered and donated her time to the MS society of Spokane.
