Lee Mark Wakefield Obituary Our beloved father, grandfather, uncle, and friend lost his battle with heart disease and passed peacefully at home on December 21, 2021. Lee was the loving husband of Donna for 62 years before her passing in 2012; and the father of 8 living children and one child lost hours after birth; 19 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren with another on the way, 6 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Lee was born in Ball Club, Minnesota and moved to Spokane, Washington after following his brothers Rusty and Kenny when he was 17 years old. He worked at the Kaiser Aluminum Mead Plant for almost 40 years before retirement. Lee is survived by his 8 children � Deborah, Mark (Patti), Gayla (Frank, deceased), Diane (Mike, deceased), Connie (John), Scott (Pam), Richard (Bett), and Leanne (John �JT�). Lee was preceded in death by wife Donna, son David Eugene, grandson Jerome, mother Mina, father Robert and several brothers and sisters. Lee and Donna spent their retirement years at Waitts Lake where they had a seasonal spot at Silver Beach Resort. Many wonderful memories were made with family and friends boating, fishing, swimming, and celebrating birthdays and holidays together. Lee enjoyed going to casinos, watching Gonzaga basketball, Atlanta Braves and Seattle Mariners baseball, listening to country music, watching western movies, and eating beef noodles and crackers with red sauce at the Cathay Inn. The family would like to give a special thanks to the ladies at Horizon Hospice for coming each week to help us take care of our dad so that he could spend his last days at home.
