Lucille Ellen Powell - Olson Obituary POWELL-OLSON, Lucille Ellen, Age 90, residing in Spokane Valley, WA, passed away Friday December 8, 2023. Born in Wibaux, Montana on April 6, 1933. She graduated from high school in Post Falls, Idaho, went on to some college studies before marrying Kenneth Powell and starting their family. Lucille had many friends and acquaintances during her four years at Evergreen Fountain retirement home. Her sister Marjorie also lived there. They spent a lot of time together sharing walks and talks and activities. Before moving there, she had worked for over 13 years at JC Pennys as a retail associate. She absolutely loved it there. After the unexpected death of her husband Kenneth, she continued to work and maintain her home and family in Spokane. She eventually met and married, Thor Olson in 2000. When she retired, they did quite a lot of traveling back east to old hometowns and family and enjoyed going to rodeos whenever they could. They were married for 10 years before Thor Passed away. Lucille was a very talented seamstress. She made many Afghans and quilts. She was sewing and crocheting up until her death. She loved to cook and bake and create crafts. Woodworking was her favorite. She shared that hobby with her son Kerry, and they made several unique creations. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents Orville and Phoebe Bolser, her husband Kenneth Powell, Brother Robert Bosler and Thor Olson. She is survived by her and Kenneth�s Children; Arnold Powell (Renee), Lenora Brown (Paul), Kerry Powell, Thomas Powell, Kenneth Warner Powell (Connie). Brothers; James Bosler (Mary), John Bosler (Marilyn), Marjorie Powell. Thor�s children; Janice Olson, Laurie Higman (Perry). Grandmother to 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Memorial Service will be held on January 8, 2024 at Fairmount Cemetery Chapel (5200 W Wellesley Ave. Spokane, WA) at 10:30 AM.
