February 23, 1928 - February 02, 2019

Marilyn Louise Matson Obituary ( Age 90) Marilyn passed away peacefully on February 2, 2019 carried away by Angels into the arms of Jesus. Waiting for her on the other side was our dad Andy and our sister Kristie. Marilyn was born on Feb 23, 1928 in Ventura, CA to Henry Franklin Long and Jennie Long but raised in La Habra, CA. Our parents married on September 7, 1946, 3 months to the date of their first date. Soon after high school graduation she started work at the phone company. Mom worked off and on through the years to raise her family and retiring in 1987. Her hobbies were cooking, sewing, crocheting, embroidery, reading and traveling with her family in their trailer. Later years enjoyed many cruises, wintering in Texas and spending time at their lake place. Marilyn is survived by her 3 daughters Gayle (Jerry) Johnson, Jane (Richard) Manoli and Fay (Paul) Bertelson. Grandchildren Shelly Meade, Chad Johnson, Todd Manoli-Smith and Tara Johnson. Great grandchildren Sierra, Kalynn, Garrett, Lucas and Ben. Preceded in death by husband Andrew, daughter Kristie Mountain, parents and one sister. How romantic our parents are reunited again and together they are watching over us all. Our mom was a truly genuine person and everyone she came into contact loved her and we will miss her and her beautiful smile. Thanks to Sullivan Park and Hospice House of Spokane for their wonderful care. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday Feb 9th 10:00 am at Heritage Funeral Home followed by graveside service at Fairmont Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations to The Hospice House of Spokane (South). To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Marilyn, please visit our Tree Store. Read more Events FEB 2
