Pauline M. (Troyer) Shoemaker Obituary Pauline Shoemaker, 96 passed away December 8th, 2020 in Spokane, WA. Born in Anaconda, MT on June 7th, 1924 to John & Mary (Sneidercich) Troyer. Pauline was the youngest of 12 children and the last survivor of her family. She was preceded in death by her siblings John (Agnes) Troyer, Edward Troyer, Mary (Joseph) Kenne, Ann (Bill) Tuohy, Olga Nelson, Frank (Borg) Troyer, Angela (Kenneth) Kelly, Veronica Radley, Rose Snyder, Joseph Troyer & Helen (Bob) Coverdill. Graduated in 1946 from Morse�s Beauty School in Spokane. She worked at Lou�s Beauty Shop in Spokane from 1946-1953. In December 1948 she met her future husband William �Bill� Shoemaker, and they were married August 20, 1949. She opened Paula�s Beauty Shop in 1956 and continued to be self-employed until her retirement in 1979. Bill and Pauline moved to Issaquah, WA in 1986 to be closer to their only grandchild, Caitlin. Shortly after Bill�s passing in August 1996, Mom moved in to live with her daughter & son-in-law, Lynn & Todd. That is when the fun started. She traveled extensively with the family, loved to garden, tackle crossword puzzles, reading, a newfound love of wine and going to the casino. She lived with Lynn & Todd until October 2016 when she was moved to Providence Marionwood Long Term Memory Care Facility in Issaquah, WA. In June 2020 she was moved back to Spokane to Regency Northpointe where she lived until her passing. She is survived by her children Lynette (Todd) Johnson, Karen (Dale) Montague & Diane (Ivory) Bobo. Granddaughter Caitlin Johnson, Great Granddaughter Giavanna Johnson Rodriquez, and honorary daughter Carol (Bacon) Pierre. Nieces & nephews, Patty (Don) Schaff, Nan Swartz, Sharon (Ray) Mohr, Darlene (Manny) Enriquez, Raymond (Jane) Troyer, Thomas Troyer, Richard (Christine) Snyder & Janet Sager. The family wishes to send a heartfelt thank you for the wonderful care of our mother provided by the amazing nurses & staff at Regency Northpointe. Memorial donations in her memory can be made to St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Spokane, WA. Graveside services will be held for immediate family where Pauline will be laid to rest next to her husband at Spokane Memorial Gardens.
