Ray Obituary Ray was born on November 11,1947, to Paul and Maxine Morrow in Spokane, WA. He attended Stevens Elementary, North Central High School, then a short stay in the Army, being honorably discharged. He then started an apprenticeship at the Spokesman-Review and was a pressman for 22 years until a medical issue retired him on his 40th birthday. This confirmed bachelor married Valera in 1992. Ray was known to all his family and friends as incredibly funny, kind, and caring. He had a heart of gold and will be missed by all those whose lives were touched by him. Valera and I met in 7th grade. It was love at first sight. I wanted to marry her then, but my mom said we were too young. At 44, I had another chance to ask. It took that much time for me to mature. Together we enjoyed the Mariners, Seahawks, NASCAR, Zags, old cars, road trips, and each other. Ray is survived by his wife Valera Rae, daughters Carly Rae (Bob) Rees and Taryn Leigh Kepford, and four wonderful grandchildren; Harrison Walter, Sophia Rose, Howl Ray, and Oliver Andrew; brother Richard, sisters Cathy (Akins), and Debbie; family Garland and Cheryl Frankfurth, nieces and nephews. Many thanks to Dr. Don Chilson (Joni and Sharon), Sacred Heart Medical Center and 6 North for all their care over the years, Puget Sound and Spokane VA ALS teams, VA Hospice, and the love, support, and friendship of Ruthie & Gary Franks, Cathy & John Akins, Tonia & Larry Goffinet, and so many others. I love you all. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Rays favorite charities, The American Heart Association, www.heart.org and The Gleason Foundation, www.teamgleason.org/donate/.
