Richard J. Kofmehl April 22,1930 � January 29,2024 Richard entered into rest peacefully at home January 29th, 2024. He is survived by his six wonderful children, eleven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. Our heartfelt appreciation for and thanks to Gentiva Hospice in Liberty Lake for guiding our family over the past eight months, with love and compassion. You�re all beautiful, wise, dedicated souls. Thanks to the V.A. Hospital for their wonderful care over the years. A Favorite story of Richard and Bonnie's "The Pot" by Kevin Kling Back in the day when pots and pans could talk, which indeed they still do, there lived a man that went to the river everyday and filled two pots with water. One day one of the pots developed a small crack and as time went by the crack widened until by the time the man got home all the water had leaked out. Finally the pot turned to the man and said Please, everyday you take me to the river, everyday the water leaks out. Please replace me with another pot. And the man turned to the pot and said, look down the trail and the pot looked down the trail, and on the side of the trail with the pot that didn't have a crack, it was craggy and rocky but on the side of the path with the cracked pot, wildflowers grew.
