Robert V. Jacques Obituary Robert V. Jacques (SGM Ret), age 84, passed away in Spokane, WA where he had resided for 42 years surrounded by his family on July 11, 2015. He was born June 29, 1931 in Uxbridge, MA to Andrew V. and Eva E. (Lozeau) Jacques. Robert enlisted in the Army at the age of 17 and served for 30 years until his retirement in 1978. His Foreign Service tours included France, Korea and Vietnam. Following his retirement he attended Spokane Community College and opened a body shop business with his sons Bob and Mike. Robert first married Catherine L. Dunn in July of 1951 in Elkton, MD. Following her death in 2004, he married his childhood sweetheart Eleanor L. Harris (Bebeau) in April of 2005 in Whitinsville, MA. He was an avid bowler since his teenage years up until illness prevented him from continuing. Robert was a member of Inland Empire A�s, a local Model A club and lifetime member of VFW Post 1435. He is survived by his wife Eleanor, two sons Robert (Teresa) and Mike (Cheryl), three daughters Catherine Beauregard, Vickie (John) Johnson and Eva (Cliff) Nearing, brothers Al, Andy and Mick, one sister Pat Duquette, eight grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Richard. A time of visitation will be held at Heritage Funeral Home on Monday, July 20 from 10 am to 5 pm. A funeral service will be held at the Heritage Chapel on Tuesday, July 21 at 10 am to be followed by a graveside service with full military honors at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
