Ruby June Perry Obituary Ruby June Perry was called to her heavenly home by her Savior, on June 10, 2019. She passed away peacefully in the Hospice Care Home in Spokane, Washington. Her husband, Charles, was at her side. June celebrated her 85th birthday with her family at her home in Spokane Valley on June 1st. She was born in Hulbert, Oklahoma in 1935. Like so many in her generation, her family moved from Oklahoma to California to build a better life. June and Charles were married on April 13, 1957 in Stockton, California and relocated to Seattle in 1960. The couple moved to Libby, Montana in the summer of 1970 with their sons, David and Mark. Charles worked for the Army Corps of Engineers and was heavily involved in the construction of Libby Dam in the 1960s and 1970s. The family remained in Libby until just after the Dam Project finished in 1977. June�s family was very active in ministry of Faith Bible Church and June enjoyed participating in the Libby Christian Women�s Club. She was a soloist for worship services at Faith Bible and sang in the citywide performance of The Messiah at Christmas. Many Libby residents in the 1970s were accustomed to following the big construction projects, June and her husband among them. In 1977, June and her husband moved on from Libby to Saudi Arabia where both of them worked toward the construction of King Khalid Military City, a large military base built in the middle of the Arabian desert. From there, the couple moved to Korea in 1982, where June served as personal secretary to the U.S. Eighth Army Engineer. In the latter 80s and early 90s, June and Charles returned to the western United States, living and working in New Mexico, Seattle, and Irvine, California. They finally settled in Spokane Valley in 2013 to live near their sons. June was preceded in death by her father, mother, and sister. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Charles O. Perry, her son David Perry and his wife, Bonnie, and her younger son Mark Perry and his wife, Julie. June enjoyed close relationships with her three grandchildren�Steven Perry, Katelyn Perry Morris, and Jonathan Perry. She also had four great grandchildren. June deeply appreciated and enjoyed the myriad close friends she made in all of her travels. Throughout her life, she enjoyed a close relationship with Jesus Christ, her Savior.
