Sandra "Sandy" Jo Ritter Obituary Sandra ?Sandy? Jo (Davis) Ritter passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at 2:00am at Hospice House South in Spokane, Wa. Sandy was born in Spokane on March 25, 1937. Lived in the Spokane area until the family moved to Otis Orchards in 1948. She graduated Otis Orchards High School in 1955, and went to College at Central Washington in Ellensberg Wa. She taught Elementary School in Idaho for a couple of years. She moved to California where she married Valentine (Val) Ritter on August 9, 1964. Their son James Valentine Ritter was born May 20, 1966. The family lived in Lancaster, Ca. for many years where she taught Braille, before moving to Otis Orchards. Sandy jointed Otis Orchards Community Church (the church of her youth) and became an active member there and in the Marine Corp Auxiliary. After Val died, she went to the Senior Care Center in Spokane Valley and Day Out for The Blind. She had Multiple bouts with cancer over her lifetime and always stayed positive. She believed her earthly body would be made whole and perfect when she arrived at heaven?s gate to meet her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Sandy is preceded in death by her late husband Val. She is survived by her Son James Ritter, her Sister Bonnie Churchill, nieces Carol Davis, Linda Beck, Debby Garito, nephew Keith Creemer, and grand nieces and nephews. Her Son wishes everyone to remember her smile, her laughter and how she loved to sing at church. One of her last remarks was not to cry for her, that even if she died, She Lived! Sandy was interred at the Washington State Veterans Cemetery. A Memorial Service will be held in her honor at the Otis Orchards Community Church at 23304 E. Wellesley Ave. in Otis Orchards on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 1:00pm. Light refreshments will be following the service.
