Shirley Jean Brown Obituary Shirley Jean Brown (Speirs) a cherished Mother, Sister, Grandmother and Great Grandmother passed peacefully on August 26th, 2021 with her 3 children by her side. Shirley was born to Luretta and Harrison Speirs on December 13th, 1943 in Hawthorn, Nevada. Shirley moved to Colville in 1954 and Graduated from Colville High School in 1962. Shirley moved to Virginia for a time and received her degree in cosmetology and later returned home to Colville. Shirley met the love of her life while attending Stake Conference in Spokane. She took one look at Harold and decided that she wanted to meet him, so she threw a paper airplane at him to get his attention. After returning home from Virginia she and Harold married and were sealed for time and eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple July 11th, 1964. They moved to the Dalles Oregon for a few years then moved back to Spokane in 1967 to settle to start a family. Shirley is survived by her daughters Stacie, Michelle and her husband Scott and their children Ashlie, Mariah and her husband Presley, Brandon and his wife Emily. She is also survived by her son Michael and his wife Sharolyn and their daughter Mikayla. Shirley is also survived by 3 siblings. DeOrr Speirs, Leroy Speirs and Allen Speirs. One of Shirley's greatest joys is being a Great Grandmother to Marley and Emerson. Shirley is proceeded in death by her loving husband Harold F. Brown Jr., her parents Luretta and Harrison Speirs, her Brother Blair Speirs and her Sister Lanita Taylor. Funeral Services are scheduled for 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 9th, 2021 at the Cheney Stake Center, The Church of Jesus Chirist of Latter-day Saints. 10405 West Melville Road, Cheney, WA. Interment will take place at the Greenwood Memorial Terrace at 2:30 p.m.
