Wendylen Jochim was born on February 6, 1929 to parents Peter and Rose Jochim near Eagle Butte, SD, one of eleven children. As a young man, he eventually settled in Spokane, WA where he worked at Kaiser Aluminum for 32 years. Here he met and married his first wife of 47 years, Juanita Chambers. Together they raised three children. After Juanita?s passing, he then met and married Ursula Dodge. They were married for ten wonderful years. Wendy was a man loved by all. His brother Bernard summed it up best when he said, ?he was the best brother I ever had?.
He is survived by his wife, Ursula; son, William Kimball; brothers, Steve and Bernard; sisters, Theresa and Kathryn; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and stepchildren. He is preceded in death by his son, Robert Douthitt and daughter, Rebecca Ziegler (Douthitt).
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 15th from 10am ? 5pm at Heritage Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 16th at 11am at Heritage Funeral Home immediately followed by a graveside service at Fairmount Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Spokane Humane Society at spokanehumanesociety.org/donate.
