William Carner Guttromson

William Carner Guttromson Obituary Born William Carner Guttromson, second child to Ralph and Wilma Guttromson October 5th, 1941. Bill passed peacefully 25 May 2019 in Spokane, Washington. Bill was born is Maddock, North Dakota and moved to Spokane in 1954 when he was 13. He graduated from Rogers High School in 1960 then joined the Navy reserve. During boot camp Bill suffered seizures and was honorably discharged. Shorty after that he met the love of his life, Paula S. Gibbert, who later became the mother of his 3 children and wife of 56 years. Bill loved his family and friends! When Bill wasn't working he enjoyed many outdoor activities including riding motorcycles, snowmobiles, boating and camping. Bill had a huge garden every summer and worked on lawnmowers as a hobby. Bill had a magnetic personality and was loved by his family, neighbors and coworkers. Bill spent 22 years working for General Electric as an electrician and retired at the age of 52. Motorcycles were Bill's passion. In retirement Bill spent much of his time riding and socializing with the biker community. He joined the Renegade Pigs motorcycle club and was a member for years, his road name was Mr. Bill. He volunteered his time to the Shriner's Hospital, providing shoes and birthday cakes for kids that had to be in the hospital. Bill helped the Harley Davidson dealership in Spokane celebrate Christmas every year by being Santa Claus for pictures with the biker families. He also volunteered his Santa skills to many day cares, schools and various events in Spokane throughout the years. Bill was the Easter bunny for a few years at Harvest House until it became too difficult for him jump around like a bunny rabbit with a helmet on! Proceeded in death by his daughter Rhonda Jo, brother Maurice Guttromson and sister Colleen Larson. Survived by his wife Paula Guttromson, Son William Guttromson and wife Joni, daughter Kimberley Transue and husband Clint. Bill had 7 grandchildren, Ben Guttromson, Stephanie Counts (husband Marshall Counts), Rachael Shovelier (husband Paul Shovelier) Joseph Knapp, Spencer, Jillian and Blake Transue. Two great grandchildren Aria and Ila Bean Shovelier. His brother James Guttromson (wife Charlene Guttromson) and sister Beverly Wormington (husband Terry, deceased). There will be a memorial service at Foothills Community Church, 11102 N Foothills Spokane, WA on Saturday 22 June at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations to Kindred Hospice would be appreciated.
