William W. Bryant

June 30, 1930 - July 17, 2023

Bill Obituary William W Bryant passed away on July 17, 2023, in Spokane Valley, WA, after living a long and loving life of 93 years. William (Bill) was born on June 30, 1930, to Floyd and Dorothy Bryant, in Trenton, MO. He had one brother Ronald Bryant. Bill graduated from Galt High School in 1948. He started college and then join the Air Force in 1950. After leaving the service in 1954, he obtained his Bachelor�s degree at Wittenberg University in 1956, and started his career with the Federal Government at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH. Bill married Mary Delo 1954, and they had four children � Donald, Richard (Ric), Marilyn and Sharon. They purchased a farm in Dayton, OH, and lived there until 1977 when Bill was transferred to Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane, WA. Bill married Sherrie Douglas, in 1983. They purchased a home on Corbin Park in 1987 and created many memories for their blended family. Upon retirement, Bill and Sherrie bought a wooden sailboat, and later opened a new age bookstore called �The Earth and Herb�. After closing the bookstore Bill and Sherrie kept busy with volunteering with various organizations such Spokane COPS, Emerson Garfield Neighborhood, and were members of the Corbin Senior Center. In 2018, Bill moved to Brighton Court Assisted Living Center in Spokane Valley, WA, where he lived until he passed away. The staff and residents became part of Bill�s extended family. Bill�s family will always be appreciative of the care and friendship of the community. Bill is survived by his and Sherrie�s children Dan Bockleman (Alice), Sharon Bowers (Scott Smith), daughter-in-law Karen Bryant, Richard Bryant (Lori), Earl Douglas (Teri), Michale Douglas, Marilyn Simon (Larry), Kimberly Worrick (Kevin). He is also survived by a niece, two nephews, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bill was proceeded in death by his parents, his wife Sherrie (2011), his brother Ronald (2016), and son Donald Bryant (Karen) (2023).
