Donald C. Cummings

Don was born in Tekoa, Washington on Sept. 26th, 1941. He passed away at the VA Hospital on Oct. 22nd, 2024, with his family at his side.


Don was a lifelong resident of Spokane Valley, WA. He graduated from West Valley High School in 1959. He entered into the Army in fall of 1959 and returned home in the fall of 1962. On April 20th, 1965, he married his sweetheart, Gennie Allison. They were married 61 years. Dan was a member of AA for 55 years. He made many friends and carried the message.


He was preceded in death by his sisters, Connie Summers and Peggy Banks, his brother Gary Cummings and parents, Helen and Tik Cummings. He left behind his wife of 61 years, Gennie Cummings, daughter, Sue Cummings, granddaughter, Joelle Bogle, great-granddaughter, Austyn Bogle, brother, Rich Cummings and wife Barb, and several nieces, nephews, and AA friends.


He will be missed by many. There will be a celebration of Don’s life on November 9th from 11:00AM-2:00PM at Trinity Lutheran Church at 2511 S Pines Rd., Spokane Valley.
